East Midlands Development Agency (emda) is one of nine Regional Development Agencies in England set up in 1999 to bring a regional focus to economic development.
In 1999 we set a vision for the economy of the East Midlands; to be a top 20 region in Europe by 2010. It’s an ambitious target, but we can achieve it by making our region place where people want to live, work and invest. And they’ll want to do this if we create a vibrant, successful economy, a healthy, safe and inclusive society and a good quality environment.

This programme will complement MVMP housing refurbishments and new build. The Council also provides relocation grants and group repair schemes as an integral part of the MVMP projects.
