CONSULTATION WORKSHOP FOR PLEASLEY HILL RESIDENTS
Wednesday 13th January 2010
Local people are being invited to have their say on proposals which will breathe new life into Pleasley Hill.
A workshop is being held at Pleasley Landmark Centre in Chesterfield Road North on Thursday, 21 January from 5pm to 7.30pm.
The community views will be fed back to the developers, together with comments from planners and other interested parties to help shape their final proposals which will be re-submitted to Mansfield District Council next month.
One developer will then be selected, based on the quality of its redevelopment plan and the financial offer made for the available land.
MVMP, which is driving the regeneration of derelict housing in former mining communities across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, was appointed by the council last summer to drive the Pleasley Hill regeneration area project.

The council has allocated £960,000 in capital funds to enhance Pleasley Hill as a gateway to the district with high-quality, imaginatively designed, and environmentally sustainable homes set in landscaped open spaces.
Councillor Heather Henshaw, Portfolio Holder for Housing at Mansfield District Council, said: “It is exciting that we are at a stage where plans for the regeneration of Pleasley Hill are being brought forward.
“I hope that residents will come along to this event and find out more about the plans for the area for themselves.”
